Produttori del Barbaresco, Barbaresco DOCG is produced every year from the 100 hectares of vineyards controlled by the Produttori within the appellation, mainly in the Barbaresco village itself. In the best vintages, the historical crus are vinified separately. This classic Barbaresco is a blend of fruit mainly from Ovello, Rio Sordo, and Pora, with lower percentages from other crus. In normal vintages, the crus are not produced and their grapes go into the classic Barbaresco blend, therefore enhancing the quality of the final wine. Red fruit, sugared almond, sage and mint, some spice and new leather. Mid-weight, very open for business, liquorice richness but still fresh, fine dusting of tannin, so much charm and even ripeness.
