Made by the scion from Mersault-based Domaine Boisson-Vadot, this is the second vintage from a new 1.5ha purchase in the Hautes Côtes beyond Auxey Duresses on the Côte d'Or and Saône-et-Loire hilltops. Although not certified organic the Domaine never use any fertiliser or pesticides and all the vines are ploughed to control weeds and to air the soil. Vinification is traditional and the harvest is done by hand. The 2016 vintage in Burgundy was cruelly shrunk by frost just after spring budding, but the wine made is delicious.
