Virtus is a blend of 60% Barbera with 40% Cab Sauvignon. The vineyards are in the valley below Martinenga, in Barbaresco. The grapes are vinified separately, aged in French barrique for around 2 years, and only blended prior to bottling. Aroma of nutty French oak, blackcurrant, chocolate, cherry, spice.
